Playing Tic Tac Toe with Baxter the Robot

I played tic-tac-toe with Baxter the robot in the Robot Revolution exhibit in MSI Chicago. I played Baxter 7 times and I beat it 4 of the 7 times. 3 of the wins I used illogical play to beat it and the other time I put O cards in the X box on top. This caused Baxter to beat itself. The Windows Secret And Hidden Send To Menu Items

Using windows operating system equipped PCs and Laptops is something we are all familiar with it and apparently we all seem relaxed and happy with the clicks we make whenever we are editing a file, clicking on a link, or pinning an icon to the task bar. But it will be more interesting and easier if we knew all the tips and tricks to do all of those tasks in a simpler ways i.e. using shortcuts and hotkeys.

And today we will go deep on the windows built in functions specially the handy ones and weÕll explore something odd and interesting about the Òsend toÓ function. Hopefully we are all familiar about the concept and how it works but what I am going to show you is how to access the secret Òsend toÓ menu items.

Well this may be little bit confusing because you already knew that the Òsend toÓ function is handy whenever you right-click on a folder, file, or icon on the desktop but what are the secret menu items I am talking about. Just follow the below steps and you will get idea instantly.

Hold down the ÒSHIFTÓ key on your keyboard and right-click on any file or folder on your Desktop.

Definitely on a moment a menu will popup, which contains a lot of menu items, donÕt get impressed because it may look like the actual menu youve usually seen but itÕs not; you are almost there to explore the hidden and the secret Òsend toÓ menu items just keep holding the ÒSHIFTÓ key and click on the Òsend toÓ menu item.

Now you will see a plenty of new options which gives you some secret great options like the one in figure 0.1. Some of the secret send to menu items are Mail Recipient, Fax Recipient, Bluetooth Device option if you have installed any. And some other useful menu items which you can directly send to that specific document or folder to any place you want.

Hopefully and successfully youve seen a variety of secret and hidden options under the Òsend toÓ menu, but give another glance to the popup menu youÕll see that whenever you right-click on a file or folder while holding down the ÒSHIFTÓ key the menu items will show up are tremendously useful than ever and they are more than enough, so keep in mind with the help of ÒSHIFTÓ key we explored the hidden and the secret send to menu items and some other useful things as well. And that is the beauty of using the hot-keys and sticky-keys.

Final note: if youve already knew the trick I have just demonstrated, 95% of the regular windows users donÔt aware of it, so participate spreading the word and share it with your friends and loved ones.

10 reasons you should evaluate before you buy the iPhone 3G

The 3G iPhone from Apple was received with much excitement and hype in more than 44 countries where it has been launched.

But what about Brazil? Does the 3G iPhone will have the same receipt? And really worth buying it?

If you are the type of person who likes to analyze products and is more rational when buying, know 10 reasons before choosing the iPhone as your smartphone personnel.

1 - No slot for memory expansion

Available in versions with 8 GB and 16 GB of internal memory, the gadget appears to have enough storage capacity. But considering that it has a built-in iPod that plays music and videos, the space tends to decrease rapidly as the user will transferring your files or producing images. Therefore, a slot for memory card would be more than welcome. There are already on the market, for example, memory cards of the type SDHC (an evolution of SD) with 16 GB, which would double or even triple the capacity of the iPhone.

2 - Few authorized warranty service

According to Apple Brazil are only 37 centers throughout Brazil. The companys website states that the State of S‹o Paulo has 12 (ten being the capital).

3 - No video call

One of the coolest features enabled by the 3G network is not available on iPhone. The reason is simple: the terminal does not have front camera, so its not possible for two people to talk on the phone and see at the same time.

Windows 10 will be the last version of the operating system

According to Microsoft itself, the Windows 10 is the latest version of its flagship product and most used operating system in the world.

The Windows 10 will be released this year, probably in September and will be the last, according to Jerry Nixon, Microsoft executive who spoke at the conference of the company.

It seems that Microsoft is planning to launch a "Windows Service" where users could pay an annuity and regularly get system updates and new versions every one or two years.

Windows 10 has an advanced development architecture and because of this the company can separate the operating systems that are part of Windows, leaving the individual applications that can be updated independently without the need to change any software.

If all goes well with the project, it is likely that within a few years no one else worry if the version that uses a computer is Windows 7, 8, 10, being just "Windows".

Its an interesting idea and would not need to have to reinstall the operating system when a new version was launched and we could also keep computers updated with the latest versions of Windows easily.

For those who use Linux, such as Ubuntu, you know how much its easy and it works most of the time.

FWIW pensions are a dead simple concept. They are just deferred income. What make them complicated is all the Kafkaesque rules written around them by the likes of Haldane and his cronies.

To save putting this in the comments thread.

The principle around the pensions tax relief is that you are deferring your pay. You get tax relief on contributions and the fund grows free of CGT and CT/IT (Yes, MW I know I know - but this is the principle). But when you draw your benefits as an annuity you get taxed on the whole payment, not just the interest component as in a purchase life annuity. This applies however you take the pension.

The laws of compound interest and the expected return on a mixed fund of shares, bonds and property (the assets in a typical pension fund) mean that if you save between 12% and 15% per year of your gross income, you will, by about age 65 have accumulated a fund large enough to buy you a pension which will be about 50% to 67% of your final wage. This is just one of those laws that works.

The problem is all the bloody rules around this simple concept. They - the government and their bureaucrats - have, to put it in technical financial services language, so forgive me, fucked it all up. End of.

I have run a business in this area for nigh on 30 years now and I have seen these ratios work and I have witnessed the utter, utter failure of the likes of Haldane and his cronies to do anything sensible ever. Ever.

And just to make another key point we do our level best to keep charges low. But when upwards of 70% of my revenue goes back out of the door in a combination of taxes and regulatory costs, we are not the cost problem.
