1. BlackBerry Desktop Software

5. Kabel Data, penghubung BlackBerry dengan Komputer.
Langkah-langkah cara instal BB:
1. Pertama silakan instal Software berikut (semua pada komputer)
- BlackBerry Desktop Software
- OS BlackBerry terbaru
- BBSAK
2. Setelah instalasi selesai, restart dulu komputernya agar program berjalan sempurna. Untuk BBHTool tidak perlu di instal karena bisa langsung dijalankan.
3. Selanjutnya, hubungkan BlackBerry ke komputer dengan kabel data, buka BlackBerry Desktop Software untuk Back Up Data dengan cara pilih Device > Back Up, Pilih Data yang akan di backup, kemudian simpan di PC anda. Setelah Back Up selesai tutup BlackBerry Desktop Softwarenya dan lepaskan kabel data.
4. Langkah berikutnya, buka BBH Tool, pada Select BBOS Folder pastikan versi OS yang akan di instal sudah benar, dan pada Device adalah Tipe BB anda, (biasanya otomatis akan terdetaksi jika OS BlackBerry sudah di instal di komputer).
5. Lanjut Pilih Delete Vendor.xml (agar BlackBerry bisa dipakai pada Provider manapun)
6. Pilih Shrink-A-OS, (berguna agar sistem OS BB yang baru lebih cepat kinerjanya).
7. Pada bagian opsi Select (di sebelah kiri bawah) Pilih All, dan jika ada notifikasi yang muncul, pilih No, Kemudian klik Shrink My OS!. Setelah selesai Tutup BBH Tool.
8. Selanjutnya kita gunakan BBSAK. Sebelum ke proses ini, lepas dulu SIM card dan kartu memori dari BB, dan pastikan power baterai yang cukup.
9. Nyalakan Kembali BB, kemudian hubungkan ke komputer. Buka BBSAK, jika tak pakai password langsung klik OK. Selanjutnya Pin BB akan terdeteksi oleh BBSAK.
10.Pilih Wipe Device, (untuk menghapus seluruh sistem pada BB). Jika muncul notifikasi pilih Yes, maka proses penghapusan berjalan dan BB akan di restart otomatis.
11.Setelah BB terbuka kembali, akan muncul tulisan error dan abaikan saja. Tutup BBSAK, tapi jangan lepaskan Kabel Data dari BB.
12.Dalam Posisi BB masih terhubung dengan komputer, cari file Loader dari OS BlackBerry yang sudah di install di komputer

C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader
13.Doble klik file Loader untuk mulai instalasi OS baru pada BlackBerry, ikuti petunjuknya, (proses instalasi mungkin cukup lama)
14.Setelah proses instalasi BlackBerry selesai, kemudian akan di Restart dengan waktu loading yang mungkin agak lama (hanya untuk pertama kalinya).
15.Proses instal selesai dan matikan lagi, lalu masukkan kembali SIM Card dan Media Card, dan lakukan proses restart berulang-ulang.
Masukan kembali data backup anda tadi, dan sukses. Demikian tutorial cara flash/instal BB (BlackBerry) untuk berbagai Merk yang bisa saya bagikan, semoga bermanfaat.

Softwaretersebut mungkin bagus, tapi biasanya tidak gratis dan membutuhkan spesifikasi komputer yang tinggi. Dengan tips ini kita tidak perlu menginstall software tambahan apapun untuk mempercepat kinerja windows XP Anda.
1. Menggunakan file system NTFS
Jika Anda baru menginstall windows xp, gunakan file system NTFS. File sistem NTFS lebih cepat diakses dan scandisknya juga sangat cepat. Jangan gunakan FAT, kecuali Anda ingin bisa mengakses harddisk tersebut di windows 98 yang tanpa software tambahan. Windows 98 bisa mengakses file NTFS dengan software tambahan: ntfs-reader atauNTFS98.
2. Memilih program startup yang perlu
Bagian ini harus selalu dicek oleh Anda, karena kalau berisi virus / spyware / malware, komputer Anda jadi lambat. Untuk membuka startup ini, jalankan START -> RUN, ketik msconfig, buka tab startup.
Di sinilah terlihat semua program yang dijalankan pada saat startup. Anda bisa mengecek satu persatu file tersebut dihardware, terletak di folder apa. Jika Anda sempat, klik kanan file tersebut, dilihat properties-nya, terus dilihat versi dan siapa pembuatnya. Jika dari Microsoft atau sumber lain yang Anda percaya berarti aman. Jika ada program yang tidak perlu, hilangkan cek pada baris yang mau di-non-aktifkan.
3. Mematikan services yang tidak perlu
Masih dalam window msconfig, buka tab services. Ini adalah service yang otomatis dijalankan windows pada saat startup. Ada beberapa service yang tidak perlu dan sebaiknya dimatikan, yaitu:
- Automatic Live Update Scheduler. Service ini jika Anda tidak ingin otomatis update windows, atau komputer Anda tidak terhubung Internet sama sekali.
- Error Reporting Service. Jika Anda pernah melihat window yang isinya Òerror occured É.Ó terus ada pilihan send atau donÕt send. Itulah guna dari service ini. Kita biasanya memilih donÕt send, jadi service ini sebaiknya dimatikan.
- Live Update, sama dengan Automatic Live Update Scheduler.
- Automatic Updates, sama dengan Automatic Live Update Scheduler.
- Remote Desktop Help Manager. Digunakan untuk membantu Anda jika mengalami kesulitan atau error di windows, Anda bisa meminta teman Anda untuk mengakses komputer Anda dari jarak jauh (Internet). Jika Anda tidak pernah memakainya, service ini sebaiknya dimatikan.
- Remote Registry. Untuk mengakses registry (file setting windows) dari jarak jauh. Sebaiknya dimatikan.
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Ini hanya digunakan jika komputer Anda menggunakan UPS, yaitu alat yang berguna untuk menyimpan energi listrik ketika listrik padam. Matikan service ini jika Anda tidak menggunakan UPS.
- Even Log.Windows mencatat semua log tentang apa yang terjadi di windows. Jika Anda tidak pernah menggunakan even log (ada di Control Panel -> Administratif Tool), maka service ini boleh dimatikan.
- Windows Audio. Boleh dimatikan jika komputer Anda tanpa sound card.
4. Meminimalkan visual effect
Buka Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System Properties. Buka tabAdvanced. Klik pada Performance setting. Pada tab Visual effect pilihAdjust for Best Performance. Kemudian cek pada pilihan Use visual styles for windows and buttons agar tampilan windows Anda tetap seperti Windows XP.
5. Mengeset virtual memori yang optimal
Buka Start Menu -> Control Panel -> System Properties. Buka tabAdvanced. Klik pada Performancesetting. Klik tab Advanced. Pada bagian bawah ada pilihan Virtual Memory, klik pada tulisan Change. Gunakan custom size. Isi dengan:
Minimum: 1024 MB
Maximum: 2048 MB
6. Scan dan defragmen secara teratur
Scan (seminggu sekali) dan defragmen (sebulan sekali) harddisk Anda secara teratur. Buka windows explorer, klik kanan pada harddisk Anda, pilih Properties. Buka tab tools. Pilih error checking untuk menjalankan scan disk, dan pilih defragmentation untuk men-defragmen hardisk.
